This piece has sparked interesting conversations. About half of us thought the hands were rising towards the sky, while the other half saw a downward movement of a body sinking underwater. This has to be one of the reasons I love creating: regardless of my original intention, people find their meaning in a piece, which may be a way for them to feel happiness, relief, sadness, or any emotion. If I get someone to connect with themselves, that already makes my day!
The blue part above represents cosmic energy, which touches the dancer's hands. Both subjects (the energy on top and the arms at the bottom) interact with each other and influence each other. You’d have to pay attention to see the blue colour touching the hands of the dancer. This is all to say that we’re connected by that “oneness” that scientists like to call “dark energy”. Before I dive too deeply into my rational explanation, I’ll pause here and let you have another look!
