Tabula Mundi is the fruit of a collaboration with the artist Ēkwē, and is part of the "Harmonices Mundi" collection exhibited in November 2022 at Galerie 4372 (ex-Aussenwelt).
During the year 2022, Ekwe and I, two enthusiasts of space and metaphysics, spent a lot of time learning the meanings of symbols related to the cosmos depicted by various civilizations over the past centuries.
That is the reason why we've named our collection "Harmonices Mundi" (translated as "the harmony of the world") in homage to Johannes Kepler's 1619 manuscript. Kepler sought to unravel the secrets of the Universe and, with the means available at the time, understood the arrangement of stellar objects as a musical score.
This work is a tribute to his work, and to those who, like us, have sought to find beauty in the conception of the cosmos.
